Looking Forward to a Break!!!

Autumn is here and I am looking forward to a break in shows. Not that I don't love doing these wonderful shows, rain or shine, inside or outside, here or there...It's just I need this 2 week break from show responsibility to unwind, relax and take in some family time. Oh, and of course some much needed junkin time to get ready for Expo. I will be sharing a booth with my friend Chandra from "Shabby To Chic Designs" (non blog girl) offering some of our best treasures.
So look for me at the sales, auctions, etc. the next couple of weeks and don't be shy....say "HI"
Here's to enjoying break time.
BTW, Mike's dad came home from the Hospital Sunday and is doing well!!!
Thank you for all your prayers!!!

Historic Snohomish Antiques and Arts Faire

This past Saturday, Julie and I arrived in Snohomish, Washington to participate in their Historic Antiques & Art Faire.  We were blessed to have an absolutely gorgeous day to set up our treasures in.  The event took place in the downtown antique district of town.  Several blocks were closed down and vendors filled the streets offering a variety of antiques and art pieces.

These are some snapshots from our booth.  Several of these pictures were borrowed from ....Mimi Charmante's blog (Thank You!).  She stopped by our booth and was a true delight to meet.

Off To Snohomish

Christa and I are taking our Prims to Town!!!!
We have been busy collecting old pie safes, primitive cabinets, barnwood hutches, shabby dressers, & antique medical cabinets for our upcoming show.
Snohomish Antiques & Arts Faire in Historic Downtown Snohomish. The charming town of Snohomish, long recognized as a premier Northwest destination for antiquities and fabulous finds, plays host to hundreds of permanent antiques dealers and artists. On Saturday, May 16, 2009 Antiques, Arts and more from all over the region will spill into the streets of the Historic District. Save the Date and plan a day trip of riverside views, fresh air and a truly one-of-a-kind shopping experience.
We are very excited and if you are up to a road trip, this is the place to be!!!
Blessings

Crowd Teaser

Here is a little tease from Michelle Robinson "My Shabby Passion" of what she will be bringing to the show.....

Michelle loves to seek out and find (i guess that's shopping!) all things shabby and beautiful. Her multiple collections were growing and she needed to find a way to "recycle" them. She has a passion for decorating and according to Michelle her house never looks the same, so this allows her to change "the look".
Be sure to come by and say "HI" to Michelle and all the other wonderful vendors being featured at the
Whimsical Wishes Show
this Saturday.
See postcard for details.

Sneak Peek......Kindred Roses at Randall Woods

Today, Julie and I loaded up our larger furniture pieces, vintage suitcases, and primitives and took them out to Randall Woods, an estate in the Battle Ground area.

The weekend of December 5th and 6th, we will be participating in their large Christmas Show.  The estate has several buildings throughout the property that will be decorated for the season.  There is a gymnasium, the solarium, the mercantile, and vignettes placed around the property.  On the day of the show, there will be a gentleman pressing fresh cider, Santa and carolers will pay a visit, and lots of opportunities for shopping for some wonderful Christmas decor and gifts.  There are some very talented artisans participating.

Here's some sneak peek pictures of the property.......if you are in the area and would like directions.....leave a comment and I will send you the information.

Have a Wonderful Week!

I Wish.....

I had a housekeeper, so I could craft all day long.   My best friend from childhood, Jennifer, came over Sunday morning and we worked on our craft projects.  She busily worked on her scrapbooks and I worked on these altered spoons.  I had stumbled upon some of these during my visits in blogland and I wanted to make some myself.

Julie and I went estate sale shopping on Friday and also stopped by Natalie's, aka Vintage Sparrow, to look at some treasures she was parting with.  It was great to meet her and she was very generous.  Her house was absolutely gorgeous......lots of white aged and chippy paint.  Very inspiring.  Here's some of our treasures from Sparrow and the sales......

I love this lady in the spectacles......

Julie found this fab quilt.....in really good condition too.

I found some old ink and medicine bottles that I will fill with glitter......

I found some vintage wedding cake tops.  They have seen better days, but they were very interesting.  I thought I would take them apart and use the flowers on other project, if nothing else.....

It's Coming Together.......

Thank you for visiting!

Julie and I met this evening to start discussing plans for our next year show schedule.  We are both very excited to be collaborating on our venture.  Our first show will be held in late April at her home in Camas, WA.  The second show will be held at her beach property on the Long Beach Penisula on the Washington Coast in late Summer.  We have also applied to participate in several other events throughout the summer months, as well.  We are looking forward to meeting many new friends this coming year!

During the winter months, we will be planning, creating, and finding many new things to bring your way this Spring.  We will keep you updated on our finds and adventures.

Welcome to Kindred Roses

Thank you for stopping by our new blog.  Kindred Roses is a creation of two friends who share a love for vintage treasures, cottage style, and primitives.  We had our first show at the end of September and have plans in the work for several shows starting early next Spring.  We will be bringing you a unique selection of vintage, primitives, seasonal crafts, and handcrafted soaps and lotions.  In addition, you will find other vendors at our shows who offer a variety of products including produce and other vintage goodies.  We will offer you a fun and memorable shopping experience.  Kindred Roses shows are located in SW Washington State.  If you are in the area, sign up for our Show Announcements to be notified about our upcoming events.
