We Confess......

We were at it again this weekend.....junkin' our little hearts out!
We are working hard to bring you some wonderful things for our upcoming Whimsical Wishes show.

First thing Friday morning, I stopped at a local estate sale and found some wonderful vintage bottles and beds......3 wooden and 1 metal.  These will be prettied up with a nice shade of ivory paint.  We'll have a number of vintage wooden and metal beds in both twin and full sizes.

I found this sweet little trophy at this sale.......

We found this old sideboard or buffet at an old farmhouse last week......the doors are a little warped but we're going to take these off.  The details on the legs and embellishments are wonderful.  The ugly veneer will be stripped/chiseled off and it will be painted too.  I can't imagine putting veneer on top of perfectly good wood!  I can't wait to see this little beauty when she's done!

Here's what we found today........there's a vintage wardrobe in there, some fab feather pillows, an old camp blanket, an old tole tray, a couple of old toolboxes, and an old mirror. I also found an all maple hutch.....that I got for a deal....I'm so excited!  I have to pick it up in the morning...... I'll add a picture when it gets home.

Blessings-

Julie and Christa

Whimsical Wishes Show - Celebration Giveaway

We have some exciting news to share with you!

We are hosting a one day vintage spring shopping event, Whimsical Wishes, in Camas, WA on April 25th, 2009.  We are actively looking for quality vendors who take pride in displaying their products and are looking to serve their customers.  This show is juried and our show focus is on cottage, shabby chic, farmhouse, and primitive styles.  Our space rates are very reasonable.   If you are interested in participating, please reply to our ad here.

In celebration of our upcoming show, we are offering a sweet cottage style apron and some wonderfully fragrant lotion to one lucky blog reader.  All you need to do is leave a comment on this post or any of the posts this coming month.  The winner will be drawn on the "luckiest of days", St. Patty's Day, March 17th.  You can earn two additional entries by featuring our contest on your blog.  Be sure to leave us a comment if you do!

Sweet Cottage Style Apron.....offered by Chloe Rose, the winner will be able to choose the fabric (you will have several choices) and size of this useful three-pocket apron.  The pockets are generous in size and will accommodate numerous items.   I love using mine around the house.  Often, I pick up things in one room while I am cleaning and place them in a pocket.  When I am done cleaning, I take the things to their appropriate place and put away.  The apron pictured ties in the back and is a size large.   It will fit a plus-size, as well.

Hand & Body Lotion......offered by Kindred Spirit Soap Company, the winner will have the choice of several wonderful scents.  It is blended with pure sunflower oil and vegetable glycerin for easy absorption.  It will moisturize, smooth, and soften.  No alcohol or mineral oil used.

Blessings,

Christa & Julie

It's Coming Together.......

Thank you for visiting!

Julie and I met this evening to start discussing plans for our next year show schedule.  We are both very excited to be collaborating on our venture.  Our first show will be held in late April at her home in Camas, WA.  The second show will be held at her beach property on the Long Beach Penisula on the Washington Coast in late Summer.  We have also applied to participate in several other events throughout the summer months, as well.  We are looking forward to meeting many new friends this coming year!

During the winter months, we will be planning, creating, and finding many new things to bring your way this Spring.  We will keep you updated on our finds and adventures.
