Historic Snohomish Antiques and Arts Faire

This past Saturday, Julie and I arrived in Snohomish, Washington to participate in their Historic Antiques & Art Faire.  We were blessed to have an absolutely gorgeous day to set up our treasures in.  The event took place in the downtown antique district of town.  Several blocks were closed down and vendors filled the streets offering a variety of antiques and art pieces.

These are some snapshots from our booth.  Several of these pictures were borrowed from ....Mimi Charmante's blog (Thank You!).  She stopped by our booth and was a true delight to meet.

We Confess......

We were at it again this weekend.....junkin' our little hearts out!
We are working hard to bring you some wonderful things for our upcoming Whimsical Wishes show.

First thing Friday morning, I stopped at a local estate sale and found some wonderful vintage bottles and beds......3 wooden and 1 metal.  These will be prettied up with a nice shade of ivory paint.  We'll have a number of vintage wooden and metal beds in both twin and full sizes.

I found this sweet little trophy at this sale.......

We found this old sideboard or buffet at an old farmhouse last week......the doors are a little warped but we're going to take these off.  The details on the legs and embellishments are wonderful.  The ugly veneer will be stripped/chiseled off and it will be painted too.  I can't imagine putting veneer on top of perfectly good wood!  I can't wait to see this little beauty when she's done!

Here's what we found today........there's a vintage wardrobe in there, some fab feather pillows, an old camp blanket, an old tole tray, a couple of old toolboxes, and an old mirror. I also found an all maple hutch.....that I got for a deal....I'm so excited!  I have to pick it up in the morning...... I'll add a picture when it gets home.

Blessings-

We Had a Great Time at the Portland Antique Expo.....

We truly enjoyed the show......

It was our first time to do the Expo, so we were not sure what to expect.  I was a little nervous since I haven't done a show this size and I was concerned about the turnout due to the economy.

Setting Up......

My fears were put to rest Friday morning when the doors opened to "Early Admission" buyers.  Our furniture pieces were selling as fast as we could put them up.  After the initial burst of selling, it slowed down long enough to get the rest of our inventory out and up on display.

We knew we needed some additional furniture, so we brought some more from our storage on Saturday.....those sold too!  Friday and Saturday there was a consistent flow of people through the show.  Sunday was slower, but we were told it would be that way.

We both have sore muscles and feet, but are full of enthusiasm and excitement for our upcoming April show, Whimsical Wishes, in Camas.  Don't forget to enter our Celebration Giveaway......you have until the luckiest of lucky days, St. Patty's Day, March 17th at 5:00 pm PST to post a comment here

We met some truly wonderful people at the show and got a chance to visit with some of our other blog friends who had booths there, as well.

Here's a list of some of our friends who have written about their Expo experience:

Tickled Pink - Isabel
A Day in the Life - Auntie Joy
Today's Country Store - Kris & Amy

I'll add more, if I find them!

Blessings,

Christa and Julie
