Just What i Was Looking For.........

This past Saturday, my hubby watched the boys while I went to a couple of estate sales.....

I found an old typewriter.  Julie had seen it at this sale and told me about it.  Another lady had picked it up to purchase it, but her husband said no, so she offered it to me.  I couldn't resist.  It was 1/2 off day, so it was only $10.  It has it's own carrying case and is in very good condition.  I've been wanting one of these ever since I saw an article in Somerset Life magazine featuring some altered artwork from Rebecca Sower.  It looked like she had taken aged muslin and typed on it using an old machine.  This is just what I was looking for!  I can't wait to try it, but I wonder about ribbon refills for these vintage machines.....can you even find one for them anymore or perhaps, re-ink it?   Hmmmm......I suppose I 'll cross that bridge when I get there ;o).

I found a variety of odds and ends, but was really pleased with these old jars that I put some of my vintage aluminum glitter in......

I also found these sweet vintage little girl birthday candles.....they came in a package of 8 and fiver were used (melted head), so the three remainders will go up on display.

I also just completed a Valentine's Day tag swap......here's a sneak peek.  Check out my personal blog, Chloe Rose, to see the finished project.
